Career Ascent Academy ("we", "us", "our") operates the online learning platform at career-ascent-academy.com. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect when you use the platform, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

Account information: when you register we collect your email address, the country you select, and a password. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are stored only in hashed form — we never see or store your plain-text password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email address from Google.

Learning activity: as you use the platform we record your progress, lesson completions, quiz results, path enrolments, project submissions, certificates earned, and similar activity needed to run your account and issue certificates.

Payment information: payments are processed by our payment gateway, Razorpay. We do not collect or store your full card number, UPI PIN, or bank credentials. We receive a payment identifier and status from Razorpay so we can grant your membership, tokens, or mentorship session.

Technical information: we use essential cookies to keep you signed in, and we may keep basic server logs (such as timestamps and error information) to operate and secure the service.

We use your information to create and manage your account; deliver course content and track your progress; issue and verify certificates; process payments and grant the access you paid for; provide support and respond to your requests; send you essential account and transactional emails (such as email confirmation and password resets); and keep the platform secure and prevent fraud or abuse.

We do not sell your personal information.

We rely on trusted third parties to run the platform, and share only the information they need for their role: Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage), Razorpay (payment processing), Google (optional sign-in), and an email delivery service for transactional emails. These providers process data on our behalf and may store or process it on servers located outside your country.

We may also disclose information if required to do so by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Career Ascent Academy, our users, or others.

We use only the cookies necessary to operate the service — primarily to keep you securely signed in. We do not use advertising cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent you from logging in or using parts of the platform.

We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You may ask us to delete your account and associated personal data at any time; some records (such as payment records) may be retained where the law requires it.

You may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct information that is inaccurate, or ask us to delete your account and data. To make a request, email us at support@career-ascent-academy.com from the address associated with your account. We will respond within a reasonable time.

We protect your information with industry-standard measures, including encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls, and role-based restrictions on who can access data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and to promptly address any issues.

The platform is intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below this age. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you. Your continued use of the platform after an update means you accept the revised policy.
